Amanda Chapman, MSSW, LCSW, serves as the Community Resource Supervisor of the REACH program at the Jeffersontown Police Department, bringing over two decades of extensive experience in empowering individuals, families, and communities.
Commencing her career as a victim’s advocate at a domestic violence shelter, Amanda refined her skills at a local child advocacy center (CAC), assuming diverse roles ranging from family advocate to forensic interviewer, therapist, and Associate Director. Throughout her tenure at the CAC, she underwent rigorous training under esteemed national agencies, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the National Criminal Justice Training Center, and the National Child Advocacy Center.

Expanding her purview, she integrated post-overdose outreach services, broadening the program's scope to address multifaceted community needs. Amanda's vision culminated in the
creation of REACH, a groundbreaking police deflection program, in collaboration with embedded social workers. The innovative program Responds to community members experiencing victimization, behavioral health crises, substance use disorders, homelessness, and all other social service needs to Evaluate for individualized care, Advocate for needs, and Connect to a network of support and services, starting them on a path to Heal. Embracing a multi-pathway approach, Amanda's program has positively impacted over 3,000 individuals and families in the City of Jeffersontown, Kentucky. Her influence extends beyond the confines of Jeffersontown, as exemplified by her advisory role in the establishment and sustainability of the Louisville Situation Table, fostering a collaborative approach to community well-being, and serving as an advisor to other programs across not only Kentucky but the nation.
