Human Trafficking Education Program

We believe that PATH is a force that disrupts human trafficking at its core by equipping the public with mechanisms to identify and report the crime. These programs are designed to enhance participants’ knowledge of what human trafficking is and how to recognize it.

PATH offers educational programs for diverse audiences. These programs are designed to enhance participants’ knowledge of what human trafficking is, how to recognize it, and how to take action. We cater to high schools, colleges, universities, churches, non-profits, community centers, businesses, and more. Our Community Presenter provides customized training to fit your needs on location. Human Trafficking 101

This training covers all the basics of human trafficking. PATH is able to adapt this training to meet any audience interest and needs. 


In this training, you will learn:


  • Components of human trafficking
  • Recruitment and identification of victims 
  • Human Trafficking facts and stats
  • How to report tips

First Responder Education

PATH trains firefighters, paramedics, and EMT professionals to identify and appropriately respond to human trafficking. 


In this training, you will learn:


  • What is human trafficking
  • How to recognize a human trafficking victim 
  • Communicating with victims
  • Trauma-informed practice in the field 
  • Connecting potential victims with local resources
  • Protocol for reporting tips

Healthcare Professionals Education

"88% of human trafficking victims encountered a healthcare provider while in captivity but were not identified." 


In this training, you will learn:


  • The components of human trafficking
  • How to recognize a human trafficking victim in a healthcare setting
  • How to respond to trafficking victims with a trauma-informed and victim-centered approach
  • Strategies for response
  • Protocol for reporting while adhering to HIPAA Privacy Rule

Social Service Worker Education

PATH designs each of these training to highlight the relevance of human trafficking for the social service-specific field. 


In this training, you will learn:


  • The components of human trafficking
  • Behavioral and environmental indicators of human trafficking
  • How to communicate with trafficking victims
  • Techniques to practice Trauma Informed Care 
  • How to connect victims to local resources 
  • Strategies for response

Industry Tailored Education

 We can provide industry-tailored human trafficking awareness training for a variety of professionals. This includes those in the wellness, hospitality service, telephony, airline industry, utility maintenance, security, and much more. These unique trainings are customized to mold with the operations of these industry professionals. Please contact us if you are interested in recieving a training tailored to your group.  

Educating the Educator

We train teachers, administrators, counselors, and other school officials on how to spot signs of human trafficking and recognize potential victims in the classroom. 


In this training, you will learn:


  • What is human trafficking
  • Risk factors for youth 
  • Physical signs and behaviors that could be indicative of a student facing effects from trauma
  • Building a school-wide response and practices for prevention
  • Resources to report and connect potential victims to professionals 


Building Blocks Youth Program

In our Building Blocks Youth Programs, we encourage discussion and questions among youth in elementary school surrounding human trafficking. This program involves interactive and fun activites to build awareness. 


In this training, you will learn:


  • What is abuse
  • What is grooming
  • Spotting a safe adult 
  • Who to talk to if feeling unsafe
  • Hearing one’s inner voice and equipping students with tools to develop personal boundaries 

Digital Safety Education

Our Digital Safety presentation equips youth to stay safe in a digital world.


In this training, you will learn:


  • The role of social media and gaming in recruitment
  • Exploring risky behaviors in the digital world
  • Safety practices to reduce possible exploitation 
  • Understand preventative factors, such as what personal information is and is not safe to share online

Active Alliance Student Program

All youth are inherently vulnerable to exploitation. This human trafficking prevention program helps middle and high school students learn early identification of vulnerabilities and exploitation, learn the signs of healthy relationships, and identify healthy support systems.


In this training, you will learn:


  • What is human trafficking and exploitation 
  • How to recognize recruitment and grooming 
  • How to develop skills to safely navigate potential exploitative situations
  • How students can promote civic engagement and advoacte 

Prevention is everyone’s job and PATH could not accomplish this work without close collaboration with schools, first responders, child welfare services, and many more organizations from the community. We are honored to work in partnership with local organizations to prevent trafficking.
